Looking for a Ranch Alternative?
Meet Big Dill Seasoning.
“Is it pickle flavored?”
When people first see Big Dill Seasoning, I almost always get the same question:
No.
Big Dill was originally created to pair with our pickle pretzels, but it isn’t pickle seasoning. It’s a savory blend of dill, garlic, onion, herbs, and spices that adds fresh, bright flavor without tasting like pickles.
What surprised me most wasn’t how people used it on pretzels—it was everything else they started putting it on.

Simple to Mix. Easy to Enjoy.
Making Big Dill couldn’t be easier.
Just add mayonnaise and a little water. Since milk is already in the seasoning blend, there’s no need to add sour cream, buttermilk, or a long list of ingredients. If you prefer a lighter option, plain Greek yogurt works beautifully, too.
Adjust consistency by adjusting the water. 1 tsp per 1/4 cup of mayo makes a great dip or sandwich spread, I add a few more drops of water when using as a finishing sauce. Let it rest in the fridge for best flavor.
Once you’ve mixed it, you’re ready for just about anything.
The Secret to Better Sandwiches
If there’s one place Big Dill really shines, it’s sandwiches.
Try it on:
- Turkey
- Roast beef
- Ham
- Chicken
- Burgers
- Wraps
- Deli subs
It also makes an incredible addition to chicken salad, tuna salad, egg salad, and potato salad, adding fresh herb flavor without needing a long list of ingredients.
Unlike ordinary sandwich spreads, Big Dill delivers layers of garlic, onion, dill, and herbs that complement the food instead of covering it up.
Far More Than a Dip
Serve it with:
- Warm pretzels or soft bread for something a little more indulgent
- Fresh vegetables like carrots, cherry tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, and bell peppers
- Chips or pretzels for a bold, savory snack
- Crackers and crostini for easy entertaining
An Easy Dry Rub for Chicken, Fish, and Vegetables
Big Dill is just as useful before the food is cooked.
Sprinkle it directly onto chicken breasts, thighs, salmon, white fish, shrimp, pork tenderloin, or roasted vegetables for a simple herb-forward seasoning that doesn’t require mixing several spices together.
Add the Finishing Touch
Serve it alongside—or add a drizzle just before serving—on:
- Steak
- Prime rib
- Roast beef
- Grilled shrimp
- Roasted chicken
- Baked potatoes
It’s an easy way to add a fresh, savory finish that makes everyday meals feel just a little more special.
Big Flavor. Not Just Salt.
Big Dill doesn’t.
Only about 9% of the blend is salt by weight, so the flavor comes primarily from dill, garlic, onion, herbs, and spices.
A full 1.6-ounce container contains only about 4 grams of salt—roughly two-thirds of a teaspoon in the entire container.
The goal isn’t to overwhelm your food with salt. It’s to let the herbs and spices do the work.
Many seasoning blends depend on salt for flavor.

One Jar. Endless Possibilities.
Whether you’re creating a deli-worthy sandwich spread, mixing a fresh vegetable dip, seasoning chicken or seafood, or adding the finishing touch to grilled meats, Big Dill is designed to become one of the most versatile seasonings in your kitchen.
It may have started alongside a pickle pretzel.
Today, it’s earning a place on sandwiches, in salads, on the grill, and at the dinner table.
